This kind of training is actually one of the oldest forms of strength training and the first reference to this was seen nearly 3000 years ago when Persian wrestlers would train with sand filled bladders. There are so many different uses for this ball and so many medicine ball exercises to choose from.</p>
<p>It is easy to achieve a flat belly and toned abs by incorporating a medicine ball into your training regime. This technique has been used by boxers to condition and strengthen their abdominal muscles to be able to withstand a punch coming from an opponent.</p>
<p>Medicine balls don&#8217;t only work the abs but with the throw and catch exercise they can be used to strengthen the arms, chest and leg muscles. To play throw and catch you need a workout partner who you will throw the weighted ball back and forth. When throwing, make sure that you put in that explosive thrust and when catching, bend at the knees and perform a slight squat.</p>
<p>You need a little extra space when you are planning medicine ball workouts as most of them include some form of swinging or throwing. You also need to make sure that you focus on your technique as in order to achieve maximum results you need to do the exercises correctly.</p>
<p>The leg chop exercise is great for your abs and is easy to do by yourself. You need to begin by standing on one leg with your arms extended into the air holding the ball. Lean the ball slightly towards the direction of the opposite foot and swing it down towards the leading leg in a chopping motion. Switch legs and repeat on the other side.</p>
<p>Using a similar motion you can incorporate the figure eight into your workout. Just as before, start with the ball over your head, bring it down in the chopping or sweeping motion towards the opposite foot. Brig it back up in front of your body to above your head but slightly to the side. Continue this motion across your body forming the shape of the number eight with the ball.</p>
<p>The Russian twist is an easier exercise which also targets the abdominal muscles. The essentials of this exercise is to hold the ball to your one side and whilst rotating your upper body move it in front of you and through to the other side.</p>
<p>If you are looking for an alternative to the regular crunch you can incorporate the medicine ball to add intensity. Lie on your back with your knees bent as you would for a regular sit up. Lie with your hands back behind your head holding the ball. Life the ball into the air, contract your stomach muscles and raise your shoulders off the floor. To add a little extra you can alternate by lifting one leg at a time up to the ceiling to meet the ball.</p>
<p>You can also use the medicine ball to work your oblique muscles. To do this, lie on your back with your legs held at 90 degrees. The Orion is a full body massage chair and is priced in the $1,500 and under category.</p>
<p>Omega is one of the best massage chair brands and has national distribution.  Distribution is important because it signifies that the company has retail clients and has staying power.  There are many companies that sell massage chairs at home shows and the internet.  Potential buyers must be very careful because they may end up with a chair that does not work and no parts and no service.  If you stick with the top brands you will not have these problems.</p>
<p>Let us first take a look at the warranty coverage for the Orion massage recliner.  The M-2 has 1 year coverage for the frame and you also get 6 months on parts and labor.  This is strong coverage for an entry level massage chair compared to others in the industry.  Customer service is another important factor.  You want to make sure you get adequate support if a problem was to arise.  Our experience with Omega, is they are quick, responsive and technically competent.</p>
<p>The first thing you notice about the M-2 is its very sleek design.  This chair looks more like an executive chair than a massage recliner.  Omega made a very attractive design with the sweeping, padded armrests to the thin chair back.  We like the silver trim on the side panels gives it a nice designer touch.  We feel this chair can compliment any room.</p>
<p>The Orion is equipped with both manual massage techniques and full automatic programs.  The manual massage techniques include swaying, kneading and rolling.  We particularly like the swaying which is reminiscent of getting a Hawaiian style massage.  The automatic programs operate the entire chair and provide full body coverage.  There are 3 automatic programs with durations of 5, 10 and 15 minutes, respectively.  The M-2 also allows you to select certain regions of the back.  You can massage the full back, lower back or the upper back.  The slim remote neatly tucks away in a molded slot underneath the armrest.</p>
<p>The M-2 has 23 inches of stroke length for covering the back.  This means that the roller mechanism moves 23 inches from top to bottom.  The chair back can recline from its upright position of 115 degrees back to 170 degrees.  The M-2 is upholstered on the back of the chair back which is a nice touch.  Most massage recliners have a hard plastic shell which can be a bit unattractive.  The leg rest and the chair back are moved using manual control levers.  They will bring the chair back up or leg rest up, but the user must push them down.</p>
<p>The seat of this massage chair has roller heads built in.  There are eight rotary massage heads for the buttocks and thighs.  These rotary heads provide soothing and penetrating relief to the buttocks and thighs.  The seat also has a vibration massage function.  The vibration massage can be set to 3 different intensity levels.  This is good to stimulate the capillary vessels and promote greater blood circulation.</p>
<p>The leg rest is adjustable in two different ways.  You can raise the foot rest up to 90 degrees to a full horizontal position.  You can also extend the foot rest out up to 4 inches.  This is very convenient to position the leg rest massager exactly where you want on your legs.  The calf massage can be set to 3 levels of intensity to provide the level of penetration desired.  The leg rest is operated with a manual control lever to raise or lower.</p>

They even have incorporated a negative ion generator which removes stale oxygen away from your body to provide a healthier massage.  The sway massage is particularly effective.
